ABB Robotics is hiring a Regional Payroll Partner - APAC based in Bangalore, India. This role reports to the Global Payroll Lead and sits within ABB Robotics, a leading global robotics company. ABB Robotics is entering an exciting new phase with the announced acquisition by SoftBank Group, a globally recognized technology group focused on AI, robotics and next-generation computing. The selected candidate will be part of a pioneering team helping shape the future of robotics in an innovation-driven environment.
The Payroll Partner will manage payroll operations across the APAC region in a managed-services model and serve as the key liaison between ABB Robotics, employees and the global payroll vendor. The role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and operational excellence while supporting multiple countries across the APAC cluster.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end payroll cycles for assigned countries, acting as the primary point of contact for outsourced payroll providers, auditing payroll inputs such as joiners, leavers, adjustments, time and absence data within Workday, validating gross-to-net and net-to-pay calculations, ensuring compliance with local tax and social security regulations, validating Time and Attendance data, supporting carve-out and integration activities, handling complex payroll queries and vendor delivery issues, identifying process improvement opportunities, driving payroll standardization across the region and partnering with local ABB Robotics teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Candidates should have 5 to 8 years of hands-on payroll experience supporting regional payroll operations within multinational or high-growth organizations. Experience in Shared Services environments and outsourced payroll vendor models is required. Strong knowledge of Workday including HCM, Time and system integrations is highly preferred. Applicants should possess advanced payroll auditing skills, strong analytical capabilities, vendor management expertise and the ability to navigate organizational transformation and integration projects. The work model for this position is Hybrid.
