Lincoln International is seeking an HR Business Partner to support the Valuations & Opinions business based in Mumbai. This role serves as the primary liaison between the Talent team and the Valuations & Opinions leadership team, providing strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. The HR Business Partner will partner closely with business leaders to drive talent strategies, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of the business, the ability to leverage workforce data to support decision making, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing talent-related opportunities.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary HR partner to the leadership team in Mumbai, build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, provide HR guidance on talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and workforce planning, align talent strategies with business goals, and advise managers on employee performance, team dynamics, and development opportunities.
Responsibilities include supporting staffing and workforce planning, monitoring headcount and hiring needs, succession planning, analyzing staffing ratios and utilization data, partnering with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies, identifying talent gaps, supporting annual promotion and compensation planning, leading performance management processes, facilitating review cycles and talent discussions, coaching managers on performance and career development, identifying learning opportunities, supporting employee lifecycle events including promotions, transfers, leave management and exits.
The role also includes handling employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, supporting employee engagement and retention initiatives, leading engagement surveys and action plans, coordinating employee recognition and office culture initiatives, enhancing intern onboarding and development programs, supporting diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives, ensuring successful onboarding of new hires, collaborating with Learning & Development teams, leveraging HR analytics and reporting for business decisions, supporting organizational change initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies, partnering with global Talent teams, and participating in firm-wide HR projects.
Candidates should possess strong business acumen, stakeholder management skills, communication and influencing abilities, analytical thinking, organizational skills, confidentiality, and collaboration. A Bachelor's degree is required with an advanced degree or HR certification preferred. Candidates should have 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience including HR Business Partner or Talent Partner experience, employee relations, performance management, coaching, HR analytics, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, HR systems, and preferably experience in financial services, consulting, investment banking, professional services, or other fast-paced environments. Experience supporting global teams is an advantage.
