Job Description
A reputed manufacturing company is hiring a General Manager – Operations & Administration for its Nashik, Maharashtra location. The opportunity is being managed by Ganesh Placement Services, a recruitment consultancy based in Nashik specializing in placements for manufacturing, engineering, industrial and corporate organizations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the overall management and performance of Production, Purchase and Procurement, Accounts and Commercial Operations, Human Resources and Administration, Stores and Inventory Management, Dispatch and Logistics and Customer Service functions. Marketing and Design functions are not part of this role. The position requires driving end-to-end plant operations with a strong focus on productivity, quality, safety, timely delivery and cost optimization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing systems, policies, standard operating procedures and performance metrics across departments, ensuring statutory, legal, labour law and regulatory compliance, strengthening procurement strategies, vendor negotiations and supply chain performance, optimizing inventory, production planning, material management and dispatch operations, monitoring financial performance, controlling manufacturing costs, improving profitability and ensuring commercial compliance. The candidate will mentor department heads, build leadership capabilities, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and work closely with the Managing Director to execute business objectives and long-term operational strategies. Applicants should have extensive experience in Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Fabrication or Industrial Engineering with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Development, Production Planning, Inventory Control, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Financial Management, Cost Reduction, Quality Systems and cross-functional leadership.
