Vialto Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager - People Operations (India) to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This is a country-level leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day People Operations, ensuring service excellence, compliance and process efficiency while managing a Tier 1 support team. The role requires a strong operational mindset, expertise in HR systems, especially Workday, and the ability to drive automation, standardization and continuous improvement. The Manager will oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes from hire to retire, including onboarding, employee changes and offboarding, ensuring seamless execution of HR operations with high accuracy and efficiency. The role will act as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex HR queries and issues. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring the Tier 1 People Operations team, driving service excellence through effective handling of Workday Help Service Desk tickets, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs, turnaround times and quality benchmarks and monitoring and improving Employee Net Promoter Score. The Manager will act as the primary owner of Workday for HR operations in India, ensure accurate data management, reporting and system governance and partner with global teams for system enhancements and issue resolution. The role includes managing monthly payroll inputs in coordination with the India payroll team, overseeing benefits administration, including employee queries and enrollments and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll-related data submissions. The Manager will ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements, including PF, EPS, POSH and other regulatory frameworks, maintain audit readiness and documentation for HR processes and partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks. The role will support Talent Acquisition operations, including offer management, onboarding coordination and candidate experience and collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure smooth hiring processes. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency, developing and maintaining SOPs, playbooks and knowledge documentation and driving continuous improvement and process standardization. The Manager will provide regular reporting on operational metrics, SLAs, NPS and process performance, collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align on People Operations strategy and act as the India point of contact for People Operations matters. Candidates should have 8-10 years of experience in HR Operations or People Operations. Strong expertise in Workday is mandatory. Proven experience managing HR service delivery teams, a solid understanding of Indian labor laws, payroll and compliance including PF and EPS and experience handling HR helpdesk or service desk models are required. Candidates should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills and demonstrated experience in process improvement and automation initiatives. Experience working in a global or matrixed organization, the ability to operate in a fast-paced and high-growth environment and a strong focus on employee experience and service excellence are preferred.
