The company is looking for a Senior HR Advisor with deep expertise in India payroll and labour law compliance to join its HR team. The role will serve as the subject matter expert on payroll operations and statutory compliance for the India workforce, working closely with the payroll vendor ADP, supporting employees with compensation queries, and ensuring compliance with an evolving regulatory landscape, including the new Labour Codes. The role also supports onboarding, employee relations, performance, engagement, and people operations. Responsibilities include owning collaboration with ADP, managing payroll inputs, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely processing. The Senior HR Advisor will be the go-to person for employees on payslips, statutory deductions, tax declarations, and take-home reconciliation. The role will ensure ongoing compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, the Shops and Establishments Act, and related statutory requirements. Responsibilities also include monitoring developments under India's new Labour Codes and translating regulatory changes into practical action, maintaining compliance documentation, supporting audits as required, supporting end-to-end onboarding for new joiners, managing day-to-day employee queries across policies, processes, and benefits, supporting managers on employee relations matters, performance conversations, PIPs, grievances, and disciplinary processes, coordinating performance review cycles, maintaining accurate employee records and system data integrity, supporting engagement initiatives and pulse surveys, contributing to HR policy reviews to ensure policies remain current and compliant, and partnering with the global HR team on cross-regional projects and initiatives. Candidates should have 7 to 10+ years of HR experience with mandatory hands-on India payroll experience and strong working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance, including the new Labour Codes. The role requires 2+ years of experience working with payroll vendors or platforms, with ADP experience considered an advantage. Candidates should be able to explain payroll and compliance topics clearly to employees, managers, and leadership and should have generalist HR knowledge with the ability to work across compliance, operations, and people matters. A process improvement mindset is required. Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment and experience working with international teams and senior stakeholders are highly desirable.
