Job Description
Capital Now is looking to hire a dedicated HR leader and HR Business Partner who can bring structure to the people function while maintaining the energy and agility of a fast-growing startup. The role will own responsibilities ranging from hiring strategy to culture and work directly with the founding team to build Capital Now's people foundation from the ground up. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable HR processes, policies, and frameworks, partnering with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and headcount strategy, and overseeing end-to-end recruitment by setting standards, improving hiring quality, and managing the Talent Acquisition function. The role will manage and mentor the existing HR team, currently consisting of two members, and build the team further as the company scales. The HR Business Partner Lead will own the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, engagement, and exits, ensure compliance with Indian labour laws and statutory requirements, drive culture initiatives, retention programs, and learning and development efforts, and manage HRIS systems and HR metrics and dashboards. Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment, and should be comfortable working across Talent Acquisition, HR operations, and people strategy. A strong understanding of Indian labour laws and compliance, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a hands-on approach with the ability to build processes from scratch are required. Experience with HRIS tools such as Keka, Darwinbox, Zoho People, or similar platforms is an advantage.
