Chalhoub Group is seeking an experienced SAP Employee Central Payroll ECP Techno-Functional consultant to own and drive the payroll application landscape from a business, functional and technical perspective. This role acts as a strategic bridge between HR and Payroll business stakeholders and IT, providing advanced advisory, solution leadership and application governance. The individual will function as a trusted consultant and escalation point, ensuring that the ECP platform is stable, optimized and aligned with business needs, data integrity standards and global best practices. Beyond support, the role focuses on continuous improvement and solution design leadership, ensuring the system evolves to meet changing business requirements. The candidate will act as a trusted advisor to HR and Payroll leadership, influencing decisions on system capabilities, process optimization and roadmap. The role involves developing a deep understanding of end-to-end HR and payroll business processes and translating them into scalable system solutions, leading discussions on process improvements, automation opportunities and system enhancements and driving adoption of best practices in payroll operations, data governance and system usage. The Senior Associate will own the ECP application landscape, ensuring stability, performance and continuous availability, serve as the highest escalation point within the business for complex payroll, integration and system issues, lead root-cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents impacting payroll operations and establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs and service quality metrics for payroll support. The role requires expert-level guidance and support on payroll schemas, PCRs and wage type design, Payroll Control Center PCC, time integration and benefits processing, posting, finance integration and retro processing. The candidate will lead solution design and configuration governance, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and oversee and validate functional specifications and technical designs. Responsibilities include ensuring seamless integration between ECP, Employee Central, Time systems and third-party applications, driving data quality, consistency and audit readiness across payroll processes, defining and enforcing data governance and configuration standards and overseeing resolution of complex data, interface and reconciliation issues. The role will lead enhancement initiatives, system optimizations and release management activities, identify opportunities for automation, process efficiency and user experience improvements, support transformation programs, upgrades and cloud HR initiatives and drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The candidate should have extensive experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll ECP and SAP HCM Payroll with deep expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, Payroll Control Center PCC, time and benefits integration, payroll posting and finance integration. Proven experience managing complex, multi-country payroll environments is required. The candidate should have strong ability to analyze, debug and resolve complex payroll and system issues end-to-end and a solid understanding of integrations including SAP Integration Suite or CPI and APIs, data flows and system architecture. The role requires extensive experience in Application Support leadership roles, managing incident, problem and change management processes at scale and experience in implementations, rollouts and transformation programs. Strong understanding of service management frameworks with ITIL preferred is required. Preferred qualifications include SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, HR or a related field, exposure to Middle East or multi-country payroll environments and experience working in Agile or Hybrid delivery models. The candidate should have strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills, the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders, a strong ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes and proven leadership, mentoring and team development capabilities. Experience with Employee Central, Time Management solutions and SAP Analytics Cloud SAC, knowledge of tools such as OneReach, Jira or DevOps and ALM tools and exposure to digital transformation and HR cloud strategy initiatives are advantageous.
