Job Description
Surpluss is a B2B platform helping businesses source products and services at significantly better prices by connecting them with brands, manufacturers, distributors and surplus inventory. We are a growing company building a high-performance team, and we are looking for an HR Generalist who can independently own the HR function end-to-end and help us build the people processes required to scale. In this role, you will work directly with the founders and department heads, managing everything from finding and hiring talent to onboarding, payroll coordination, employee management, culture building, and day-to-day HR operations. There is no HR lead above you for daily guidance, so you will need to take ownership, make judgment calls, solve problems independently, and build solid processes rather than simply execute instructions. Key responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition by creating job briefs, sourcing through LinkedIn, Naukri, and other portals, screening CVs, coordinating interviews, tracking hiring metrics like time-to-hire, and handling offer negotiations. You will own employee onboarding and lifecycle management, which includes document verification, orientation, conducting induction, tracking probation and confirmation milestones, and managing exit processes. Additionally, you will oversee HR operations and payroll coordination, ensuring accurate attendance, leave management, compliance support, salary inputs, HR MIS, and database updates. Employee engagement and culture cultivation will be under your purview, acting as the main point of contact for team queries, resolving grievances, and organizing team activities. You will also take the lead in HR policy formulation and automation, establishing frameworks for appraisals, leaves, attendance, and HR software implementations. Surpluss operates in the B2B e-commerce, supply chain, and technology industry with a team size of around 11 to 50 employees.
