Job Description
Visa is a world leader in payments technology, facilitating transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and government entities across more than 200 countries and territories. The Senior Manager, Regional Payroll Lead will oversee payroll operations across South Asia and Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA), ensuring strategic leadership, payroll compliance, operational excellence, stakeholder management, vendor governance, and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring payroll compliance and general ledger accuracy, managing internal and external payroll audits, partnering with global stakeholders, driving payroll transformation initiatives, supporting acquisitions, leading payroll projects, managing third-party payroll vendors, maintaining SLA adherence, developing governance frameworks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires leading and developing high-performing payroll teams, coaching managers, driving accountability, creating performance frameworks, aligning payroll objectives with business goals, supporting talent development, creating a psychologically safe work environment, and translating strategic priorities into measurable team outcomes.
Candidates should have extensive experience in regional or global payroll operations, payroll compliance, shared services, stakeholder management, executive communication, payroll transformation, vendor governance, payroll audits, labor law compliance, payroll controls, and process optimization. Deep knowledge of payroll regulations across South Asia and CEMEA markets including India, UAE, South Africa, Ukraine, and Egypt is required.
