Metadome.ai is hiring a Head of People (HR) for its Bengaluru office. Metadome is a deep-tech company building deterministic 3D visualization, parts identification, and CAD intelligence products for leading automotive and industrial OEMs. The company operates across India, the Middle East, and the United States with approximately 60 employees and four global offices. This is a hybrid, full-time leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and will be the company's first senior People leader. The selected candidate will own the People function end-to-end and build a systems-first, largely self-service HR operation while acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees.
The role includes managing people operations and statutory compliance across India including payroll oversight, PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, Shops and Establishments compliance, POSH Internal Committee, and audits while ensuring zero-defect execution. The candidate will lead HR systems and automation by selecting and implementing an HRMS platform, driving approximately 70 percent of transactional HR to self-service within the first three months, and partnering with founders on AI-assisted HR workflows. Additional responsibilities include owning the hiring process, recruitment pipeline operations, candidate experience, leadership hiring, structured onboarding and offboarding, performance management, compensation planning, ESOP administration support, employee relations, engagement initiatives, manager coaching, conflict resolution, policy development, and supporting international operations across the United States and the Middle East through contractor and Employer of Record partnerships.
Success in the role includes establishing zero-defect payroll and statutory compliance, implementing an HRMS, designing and completing a full performance management cycle, improving hiring SLAs and candidate experience, driving employee engagement initiatives, and becoming a trusted partner to both leadership and employees. Candidates must have more than 10 years of HR experience including at least 3 years as the senior-most People leader in a startup that scaled from fewer than 50 employees to more than 150 employees. Hands-on experience with Indian and USA statutory compliance, HRMS implementation, executive stakeholder management, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to simplify complex HR challenges are essential. Experience in deep-tech organisations, exposure to US employment practices or Employer of Record arrangements, AI-driven HR automation, and POSH Internal Committee experience will be an added advantage.
